The Dominican Coffee Route is an experience aimed at the valorisation and promotion of eco tourist ways and protected areas in the provinces of Hermanas Mirabal and Monsenor Nouel.
This protection and promotion instrument of the environmental and biodiversity heritage has been entirely planned and realised with the active and fundamental participation in first person of the local farmer organisations linked to the coffee production in the area.
Thanks to eco tourism development, activities and actions are promoted which besides generating an income to the families of the communities involved, support the re-forestation, the identity with the area and the activation of local cultural traditions.
The Dominican Coffee Route is an ecologic and cultural experience realised in the picture of an approach that considers the local reality, taking care that the families are the protagonists of their own development.
